Abstract
A kit of parts for manufacturing a pyrotechnic torch 400, comprises a cylindrical tube 410, and a container (600 figure 6) with first and second compartments separated by a removable barrier (620). The compartments contain fuel powder and oxidiser preferably aluminium powder (650) and plaster of paris (660). The container preferably comprises of plastic bag (600) with zip lock closure (610) and the barrier comprises an elongate fastener with opposing first and second jaws. A third compartment may be used to contain a binder liquid such as water. Also disclosed are:- An excavation device using a jet of compressed air to excavate ground around a suspected explosive device and a jet splitting adaptor 300 for eliminating recoil, comprising a gas cylinder 210, means attaching gas cylinder 210 to a vehicle 230, an outlet nozzle 220, a remotely controllable valve preferably a solenoid valve and means to generate a stream of fluid preferably a disruptor or rocket. A kit of parts comprising a cylindrical tube, a common plug (710, figure 7) for the tube, and a plurality of plug modules which may include firearm cartridge, explosive formed projectile or shaped charge forming cone.
