Abstract

For the purpose of sealing a joint between a submerged chamber and a pipe (P), a membrane (1) is made of a substantially U-shaped sheet of resilient flexible material. The outside periphery of the sheet is secured the chamber by bolts or rivets and the side parts (1a) are sealingly drawn together by a fastener of a sliding type which includes track elements (2) secured to the side parts (1a) so as to which is secured the pipe (P) a cuff (1b) which is secured to the pipe by a clamp (5). <IMAGE>
