Abstract

A fuser hot roll 10 for a xerographic copier is manufactured by forming a thin layer 16 of silicone rubber on a heat conductive cylindrical base 12 and curing the layer. Thereafter, the layer is subjected to ultraviolet radiation. The intensity and period of irradiation are chosen such as to reduce the tack of the roll to zero. <IMAGE>
