Abstract

A rotatable sizing screen provided with feeder means (14, 15, 16) for causing an even distribution of material onto the screen surface (1). The feeder means comprises a fixed generally spirally shaped plough (15) which urges material over the edge of a rotatable generally circular table (14), the distribution of material being substantially uniform over the edge. The plough has a compaction zone (19) for compacting the material so that urging forces exerted by the plough (15) are not absorbed in the material. A chute (16), which can be stepped feeds material onto the table (14) through the plough (15). The screen comprises radially projecting metal rods (8) having splayed out ends within a hub (9). <IMAGE>
