Abstract

A lamp having a main reflector 10 and an assistant reflector 30 disposed mutually coaxially and having different parameters and focal regions F1 and F2 includes a light source 60 disposed in the focal region F2 of the assistant reflector 30 so that the main reflector 10 emits a hollow conical light beam 14, and means associated with the assistant reflector 30 (such as protuberances 42 and/or refractive portions of a cover glass) for diverting light of the assistant reflector 30 into a solidly conical light beam 16, the means being of such dimensions that the aperture angle of the solidly conical light beam 16 of the assistant reflector 30 and the aperture angle of the hollow conical light beam 14 of the main reflector 10 correspond to such an extent that both the hollow conical and solidly conical light beams exhibit at least one of the characteristics of supplementing and overlapping one another. <IMAGE>
