Abstract

A method is provided which permits synthetic aggregate and other useful mineral products to be produced from minestone, by burning the minestone in a disperse phase combustor at a temperature at which the ash forms a slag, removing the slag and, optionally treating it in analogous manner to blast furnace slag.
