Abstract

A collapsible or foldable hull shell comprises two side wall panels 3, at least two floor panels 1 that are hingedly connected to one another along adjacent longitudinal edges so as to fold flat on one another, and two bow panels 5 that are each hingedly connected to a respective side wall panel 3 and are hingedly connected to one another along the leading edge of the bow so that they fold flat on one another with said side wall panels 3 and floor panels 1. A flexible, water impermeable sheet 7 covers the bottom of the hull and extends between the side wall panels 3 and floor panels 1 to form a flexible transom 8. A thwart 9 and a rigid transom 10 tie the side wall panels 3 together to hold the hull in its erected state. The lower edge of the transom 10 and the lower edge of an apron 25 hinged on the thwart 9 form a hard-chine bottom. The wide wall panel 3 are raked outwards and lift the bow. <IMAGE>
