Abstract
200,114. Wilson, T. March 20, 1922. Linkage gears. - In a valvegear of the type described in Specification 21327/04, the distributing-valve is operated by one end L, S of a lever J the centre of which is reciprocated by a block R in a quadrant Q connected to eccentrics L, M, and the end of which is connected to a third eccentric K which may be arranged on the crank-shaft web or pin S. The eccentrics L, M are preferably set towards the crank-pin, and for open rods may be set at right-angles. With central steam admission the eccentric K is set opposite the. crank, or a rocking-lever is used. The rod E may be connected to the lever J by a pin-and-slot mechanism.
