Abstract

190,876. Barry, J. M. June 6, 1922. Anti-dazzle screens for drivers. - In a lightsubduing or anti-glare screen for use by the drivers of vehicles of the kind comprising a flexible coloured or like screen 9 adapted to be wound on or unwound from a spring-controlled roller 4 in a casing 3, the screen is held in its extended condition by means of collapsible supports 10, 10<b>, 11 mounted on the casing, which is itself rotatably mounted by a spindle 2 in a support 1 so that the screen can be swung ,into or out of its " in-use " position whilst remaining in its extended condition. A spring 8 is located between the support 1 and a nut 7 screwed on to the lower threaded portion 2<a> of the spindle 2, and a spring catch 12 is provided to hold the casing 3 in any adjusted position. The collapsible supports 10, 10<b>, 11 are held in their folded condition by a spring clip 13 on the casing 3.
