Abstract
198,105. Jukes, C. P., and Jukes, F. B. March 8, 1922. Affixing by adhesives.-An apparatus for attaching a number of labels &c. simultaneously in proper position on a sheet of card as in making colour sample cards &c. consists of a table 1 formed with vertical perforations 8 which act as reservoirs for the labels 9 and capable of sliding vertically on supports 2 against coiled springs 6. The springs 6 bear on collars 4 supported on pins 5 passing through openings in the supports 2 so that the normal height of the table 1 can be adjusted. The supports 2 may 'be threaded and the collars 4 replaced by nuts. The piles of labels are supported on vertical rods 10 by means of springs 11, so that when the card, pasted in appropriate places, is placed on the table 1 and the table is depressed, the labels are attached to the card in the pasted spaces. The card may be pasted by means of a stencil arrangement, or by means of the tool shown in Fig. 6, consisting of a plate 14, preferably of glass, provided with a handle and a number of pasting-pads 15.
