Abstract
197,858. Harrington, J. June 30, 1922. Signs; letters, numerals, and the like; supporting and securing.-A sign is constructed from several units, each comprising a sheet A of opaque, translucent, or semi-translucent glass enclosed in a frame H, and one or more letters or devices C of opaque or semi-opaque material having screws D which pass through holes B in the glass A and are secured by nuts F, resilient washers E preferably being interposed. The letters &c. C may be of metal, wood, composition, or opaque or semi-opaque glass. The framed sheets of glass are assembled in the front of a casing I which may be fitted with electric or other lamps. To prevent the escape of light between the frames H, a lip K is soldered to one edge of each frame or formed by bending back a part of the frame.
