Abstract
421,816. Signs. SIGN TRADE SUPPLY CO., Ltd., 23, College Hill, Cannon Street, London, and IONOFF, L., 721, St. David's Drive, Edgware, Middlesex. June 17, 1933, No. 17302. [Class 3 (ii)] In a sign wherein the characters consist of embossments upstanding from or recessed in a panel which is arranged out of perpen. dicular to the normal line of vision, the embossed characters are disposed within the limits of the projection of the outline of the characters on to the panel in the normal line of vision and are shaped so as to appear undistorted. As shown, the characters are embossed from a celluloid sheet 5 and project through correspondingly shaped openings in a stencil 7 forming the front of a cylindrical casing 1 housing an incandescent or electric discharge lamp. The characters, which may be formed on separate sheets, are secured by a frame 8 engaging over flanges 6 thereon and bolted to the casing. A celluloid sheet 9, protecting the embossments, may be replaced by a sheet of reflecting material in the case of transparent embossments.
