Abstract

180,227. Kraemer, P. June 21, 1921. Water velocipedes.-A floating bicycle is constructed with a vertical U-shaped framework carrying a saddle and float on one limb, a float and rudder on the other, a screw propeller and pedal driving mechanism at the lower part, and a lower frame for supporting the machine on Jand. The framework 11, 12, 13, has mounted thereon a saddle 16, float 15, rudder 22 and rudder post 19, and a float 23 to which are attached handlebars 25. At the base, pedal gearing 34 drives a propeller 29 through bevel gears 31, 32. Depending from the lower bar 11 are struts 35 carrying a frame 36 upon which the machine can rest when not in the water.
