177,800. Pflimlin, J., and Gegauff, C. H. March 31, 1921, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Rollers and roller heads.-The clearer rolls b, Fig. 2, rotating in contact with the drawing cylinders f of a spinning-machine, are supported in hook end members p of springs m, the members p being formed so that the rolls b are kept away from the yarn e on being removed and replaced. The springs m may be made of various shapes and are secured by bolts d which fix the carrier i in position on the supports l. In a modification, Fig 9, the springs are secured at k independently of the carrier bolts d, and a supplementary spring q may be provided to assist in supporting the rolls b. In a further modification, the hook end p of the spring m is dispensed with, and a guard r is provided to limit the path of the roll b on removal. The springs m may be replaced by counterbalanced levers t, Fig. 12.
