1536885 Universal joints ROLLS-ROYCE MOTORS Ltd 28 March 1977 [3 April 1976] 13593/76 Heading F2U A universal joint comprises rollers R (e.g. three) drivably coupling first and second members 3, 5 and an axially-slidable member 17 pressed into contact with an abutment 14 by a spring 18 which also serves to press the first member against a stop 11. The part-spherical face of the abutment 14 may have a radius larger than that of the part-spherical face of the member 17.
