Abstract
1529834 Control of brushless motors PAPST. MOTOREN KG 3 Nov 1975 [2 Nov 1974] 45683/75 Heading H2J A brushless D.C. motor circuit comprises a permanent magnet rotor R, a single phase stator winding 2 or 3 arranged to generate an alternating field, electrical commutation means 12 or 13 arranged to selectively connect the stator winding to a source of power, galvanomagnetic means, e.g. Hall generator 1, arranged to control the commutation means in accordance with the position of the rotor, and at least one non-linear circuit element 5, 7, 17 or 4, 6, 16, connected between the means 1 and the means 12 or 13, which element is arranged to appreciably reduce the flow of current in the stator winding before the theoretical commutation time and to increase said current flow after the theoretical commutation time. There is described with reference to Fig. 2 (not shown) a special power supply for Hall device 1, with reference to Fig. 3 (not shown) a circuit similar to Fig. 1, with reference to Fig. 4 (not shown) a known circuit in which the described embodiments may be incorporated, and with reference to Fig. 5 (not shown) a modification for incorporation into Fig. 1.
