Abstract
1,272,982. Electric motors. MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO. Ltd. 15 July, 1969 [15 July, 1968; 9 Oct., 1968], No. 35678/69. Heading H2A. In an external P.M. rotor electric motor controlled by the circuitry disclosed in Specification 1,262,504, the rotor position sensing apparatus is mounted inside the motor stator. In the three-phase motor shown, three primary coils 18a, 18b, 18c supplied from an oscillator 20 induce voltages in output windings 19a, 19b, 19c, the amplitude of the voltages depending on the position of a 4-pole rotor 17 secured to the P.M. rotor 5. It is stated that mutual interference between the three pairs of primary and output windings 18, 19 may be prevented by inserting short-circuiting conductors 58, Fig. 4 (not shown), inside the rotor 17 at the roots of the poles a, b, c, d.
