Abstract

1528314 Spark-plug CHAMPION SPARK PLUGS CO 28 June 1977 [1 July 1976] 27035/77 Heading FIB In a spark-plug having an auxiliary spark gap within a bore 21 of the plug insulator 12, an electrically conductive ball 30 is seated on a step 31 in the bore and defines one side of the auxiliary gap and a suppressor 29 is positioned within the bore. The suppressor may comprise a resistor or a relatively low resistance inductor. The spring 28 can be positioned between the suppressor 29 and the ball 30.
