Abstract

1523804 Semi-rotary positive-displacement fluid machines KITAZAWA SHOJI KK 23 Dec 1975 52758/75 Heading F1F In a semi-rotary fluid machine, e.g. a pneumatic or hydraulic actuator, having a cylindrical housing 1 with fixed vanes 2 and a rotor 4 having vanes 3, an integral seal 11 for the rotor comprises a first portion extending along the periphery of the vane(s) 3 and a second, annular, portion encircling a rotor shaft 7. The machine has inlet/outlet ports 10 and ports 8 are connected by passages in the housing end-plates to inter-connect diametrically opposite working chambers. The seal 11 has a square crosssection along the corner portions and a circular cross-section along other portions.
