Abstract

1519930 Curling devices J DAMBRUCQ 27 May 1977 [23 Feb 1977] 22615/77 Heading A4V An appliance usable to curl and to straighten hair comprises two electrically heated arms 2, 3, the arm 3 being movable about a pivot 7 towards the arm 2 against a spring 9, each arm having a hair pressing element 4, 5 which may be rotated about its arm to present either a corrugated Figure 3A (not shown) or a flat Figure 3B (not shown) surface to the hair. The arms 2, 3 may be closed together using a lever 10 and a ball catch Fig. 4 (not shown) holds each element 4, 5 in its chosen orientation.
