Abstract

1512468 Cleaning cards MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 12 May 1976 [2 June 1975] 19482/76 Heading D1N A card clothed cylinder 1 is cleaned of impurities by their being separated from the web layer and carried away transversely to the direction of cylinder rotation. This is carried out by a pinned clothing slightly spaced from the cylinder and moving transversely across it. The clothing is provided on a belt 13, removed impurities are taken from the belt by a suction nozzle 25. The belt may be internally toothed. A plurality of such devices may be disposed about a main cylinder e.g. ahead of moving flats or between flat plates. Successive devices have their belts circulating in opposite directions.
