Abstract
Dyestuffs of the perylene-3,4,9,10-dicarboximide series are prepared by condensation of perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic acid or its dianhydride with amines in inert relatively high-boiling solvents or diluents in the presence of heat. The amines used are aminophenylureas of the formula 4, whose substituents have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1. The dyestuffs obtained are suitable as vat dyestuffs and as pigments. <IMAGE>
