Abstract

The socket housing (1), which is provided with a supporting frame (2) for resting against an extraneous wall, has in its own wall both sprung tongues (3, 4) as well as cut-outs (12, 13) for latching retention of the apparatus (9) which is inserted into the socket housing. Furthermore, retaining devices which are constructed as sprung flaps (23) are provided for latching retention of the flush-mounted socket (1, 2) in the extraneous wall. In addition, the flush-mounted socket (1, 2) has screw and clamping attachment devices which can be operated from the front, specificially holes (27 and 28) for attachment screws (25, 26) to pass through, as well as holes and ducts (33) for accommodating adjusting screws (29, 30) with whose aid metallic clamping devices (31) can be operated, which are intended for clamping attachment of the flush-mounted socket (1, 2) in the extraneous wall. The flush-mounted socket is suitable for accommodating installation apparatuses such as switches, push buttons, light signals or plug sockets and for use, for example in cable ducts, furniture, cavity walls, caravans and the like. <IMAGE>
