Abstract

1439559 Dispensing liquid by gaseous pressure C R LANE 16 Oct 1974 [18 Oct 1973] 44873/74 Heading F1R A device for dispensing liquid from a sealed bottle by gas-pressure includes a body 1 having gas inlet and liquid outlet tubes 25, 41 respectively, which are adapted to pass through the cork 33 to open into the ullage space 177, the body being threaded at 57 to receive a sealing cap 69 for storage purposes or to receive a liquid dispensing member 5 which has an outlet 17 which connects with the tube 41. The tube 25 connects with a passage 73 leading to the valved outlet 149 of a pressure capsule 81 (e.g. containing nitrogen). The base the capsule rests on a member 137 attached to a lever 13 which can cause the member 137 to pivot and so open the valve 121. The liquid is dispensed by inverting the bottle and pressing or pulling the lever 13. The seals 109 and passages may be rearranged with a single seal Fig. 2 (not shown).
