Abstract

1437550 Printing apparatus SUN CHEMICAL CORP 14 March 1974 [21 March 1973] 11449/74 Heading B6C An inking train has two adjacent rollers with parallel axes urged into contact. One of these 61 is mounted at each end by means of extensions 65 in a channel 97 in a member 60 secured to the frame of the machine, and a member 88, pivoted at 73 and biassed by spring 74 to urge the roller along the channel and into contact with the other roller. Member 88 may be pivotted to the chain-line position shown to allow roller 61 to be withdrawn. Screw 93 is adjustable to vary the contact pressure. Handle 92 and stop 96 may also be provided. As shown, spring 74 is mounted so as to be sprung overcentre on moving between the open and closed positions.
