1435951 Isomerization of #-unsaturated alcohols KURARAY CO Ltd 9 Feb 1973 [14 June 1972] 6626/73 Heading C2C Compounds R-C(R 2 )(OH)C(R 3 ) = CH 2 (I), where R is a substituted or unsubstituted, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic; aromatic or araliphatic radical; R 2 and R 3 are hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl or R and R 2 can be joined to form a ring, are made by isomerizing on alcohol R-C(R 2 ) = C(R 3 )-CH 2 OH (II) in the presence of a compound of a transition metal selected from Group V, VI or VII of the Periodic Table, as catalyst.
