Abstract

1432815 Flashing indicators WESTFALISCHE METALL INDUSTRIE KG HUECK & CO 18 Sept 1973 [22 Sept 1972] 43821/73 Heading G4Q In a flashing signal circuit incorporating a resistor RM, the voltage drop across which (when flashing direction indicator lamps BL are energized) is utilized to trigger energization of a tell-tale KL, the effect of the voltage drop on the illumination of the signal lamps is minimized by by-passing the resistor at least during the major part of the bright period of a flashing cycle. In one embodiment an additional relay contact K2 is adjusted to close shortly after contact K1; in a second embodiment a second relay (Rel. 2) is actuated when contact K1 closes and its contact (K3) causes bridging of resistor RM, Fig. 2 (not shown); and in a third embodiment transistors (T1, T2) are employed. The invention enables a high-value resistor RM to be utilized. The switching-in of resistor RM may be additionally, or alternatively, at the end of the period. The invention is particularly advantageous for tractor-trailer units and with hazard warning flasher systems.
