Abstract

1428238 Sterilization forceps H J LINDEMANN 7 March 1973 [10 Feb 1973] 11229/73 Heading A5R Electrocoagulation forceps, suitable for sterilising the Fallopian tube or removing diseased tissue, comprises two electrically conditioning arms 11, 12, which are insulated from each other, said arms being connected at one end by a bar-like handle 13 and the two arms lying in a tubular sheath 14 of insulating material with at least one arm connected to a high frequency electrical supply. The free ends have curved gripping jaws 15, 16, the external periphery of each jaw carrying insulation 20, 21 respectively, the inner regions and the opposed ends 15a, 16a being free from insulation.
