Abstract

1427420 Washing machines SAN GIORGIO ELETTRODOMESTICI SpA 11 Oct 1973 [20 Oct 1972] 47614/73 Heading D1A [Also in Division F4] The cable 22 for an electrically operated heater or other component 4 mounted on the loading door 3 of a washing machine is fastened to a mobile part 13 of the door hinge and extends from the hinge into the machine housing substantially parallel to the hinge pin 8 to subject the cable to torsion not bending an opening of the door and into the door in a plane substantially perpendicular to the hinge pin axis. The hinge comprises an angular part 9 secured to the machine casing 1 and a part curved portion 13 secured to the door, a plastics band 19 securing the cable to the part 13. The cable may extend through a longitudinal bore in the pivot pin 8.
