Abstract

1319853 Dry shavers PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 June 1970 [26 June 1969] 30464/70 Heading B4B A shear-plate holder assembly for mounting on a casing 5 of a dry-shaver comprises at least one shear-plate 1 carried by the holder 2, the shearplate being tiltable about at least one axis relative to the casing. The pivoting arrangement comprises pins 3 passing through holes 6 formed in the holder 2 which is secured to the casing 5. In a modification, Fig. 1 (not shown), the rim of the shear-plate may constitute the holder and be pivoted directly to the casing. In a further modification, the holder 2 shown in Fig. 3 may itself be pivotally mounted on the casing, the two pivoting axes being at right angles. In the pivoting axes being at right angles. In the construction shown in Fig. 4, a pair of shear-plates 1 are mounted in a common holder 2; alternatively, three shear-plates may be so mounted. When it is necessary for the pivoting axes to intersect, a gimbal ring (7), Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), may be provided.
