Abstract

1426724 Inking roller NORPRINT Ltd 25 April 1973 [2 May 1972 19 May 1972] 20331/72 and 23573/72 Heading B6C An inking roller comprises a porous shell 12, an ink-absorbent filling in the form of a plurality of rings and a hollow central shaft through which ink passes to the filling through one or more distributers 60, each located between two rings. The filling may be felt, or be glass balls retained by annular baffles. Preferably the shell is of sintered polyethylene and the shaft has an inlet sealed by a rubber disc, through which the needle of a graduated syringe can be passed to add more oil.
