The hand stamp described in parent Specification is modified to ensure constant parallel disposition of the type face 9 relative to a printing surface (not shown) by providing opposite sides 10 of the lower part 8 of each type element with rounded off guide surfaces which are received guidedly in correspondingly shaped recesses 11 in the ledges 3.
