Abstract
1425680 Cast iron GEORG FISCHER AG 11 June 1974 [21 June 1973] 25933/74 Heading C7A the balance being iron and impurities, and has a low pearlite structure consisting of a matrix of mortensite and bainite with carbides of the general type M 7 C 3 and not more than 15% retained austinite, produced by annealing at 825‹C, air cooling at 1.5-3‹C/minute to 400‹C and stabilizing at 200-250‹C, after horizontal continuous casting into graphite moulds. The material may be sand or ingot cast, and is capable of taking a full heat treatment, quench and temper.
