Abstract

1421117 Valves APEX CONSTRUCTION Ltd and W C PECK 5 Jan 1973 [21 Oct 1971] 48963/71 Heading F2V [Also in Division G1] A check valve, for Bourdon type pressure gauges, comprises a spring loaded ball closure member 4 co-operating with a seating member 5 which is screw-threaded into the casing 2, the closure being provided with a by-pass. The seating member may have a saw-cut in its peripheral surface or be provided with a hole parallel to its axis in which a rod may optionally be fitted to provide an annular passage. In other embodiments the seating members may fit loosely in the casing to provide the by-pass passageway or the seating surface may be notched.
