Abstract

1,026,976. Valves. KLEIN, SCHANZLIN & BECKER A.G. Feb. 28, 1963 [March 9, 1962], No. 8014/63. Heading F2V. In a hinged or butterfly valve having a resilient lining 4, Fig. 1 (not shown), for engagement by the valve member 3 when closed the lining is pressed into engagement with the hub 11 of the valve member surrounding the spindle 7 by cup springs 9 acting on bearings 8 which are slidable in the valve body 2. The spindle is rotated by worm-gearing 5, 6. Instead of the springs 9 hydraulic means may be employed.
