Abstract
1419471 A method of obtaining the flight path of a projectile ELTRO GmbH GES FUR STRAHLUNGSTECHNIK 8 Jan 1974 [9 Feb 1973] 00787/74 Heading F3C A method of determining the flight path of a subsequent projectile which is to be fired uses a tracking-device 3 to obtain the deviation of a previously-fired projectile 8 from a sight-line 4 of an aiming device 2 by comparing the infrared emission from an emitter 9 on the projectile 8 with the infra-red radiation from the target. The deviation thus obtained is fed to a computer 10. In an embodiment the tracking-device 3, the aiming device 2 and a gun 5 are mounted on an armoured vehicle 1 and the target is a tank 6.
