Abstract

1418159 Safes J MARIOS 16 Oct 1973 48078/73 Heading E1A [Also in Division A4] A safe 1 adapted to protect its contents from damage in case of a fire is of cavity wall and cavity door construction and each of the said cavities is provided with a watersprinkler system activated by means provided on the exterior of said safe, the water circulated in the cavities being discharged from the top of the safe. The sprinkler system in the door 17 is connected to the system in the safe proper by a flexible pipe passing through aligned holes 55, 57. Water is discharged through a funnel 67, pipe 69 and outlet 71; drains 73, 75 being provided as shown. For modified arrangements applied to a filing cabinet, and a strong room Figs. 6 and 8, (not shown), should be referred whilst for minor details of control valves and sprinkler system the Specification and Figs. 2-5 (not shown), should be referred to.
