1418019 Compositions containing tetracyclines PATERSON ZOCHONIS & CO Ltd 11 March 1974 [11 Dec 1972] 57058/72 Heading A5B An antimicrobial composition comprises a tetracycline in a concentration to have an effective antibacterial action, 8-hydroxyquinoline or a chlorinated and/or alkyl derivative thereof in a concentration to stabilise the tetracycline, and a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent and/or carrier. The compositions may be used for topical or oral administration and may be employed in the preparation of medicated dressings. Anti-inflammatory drugs such as hydrocortisone may also be present.
