1417965 Wall cladding L B (PLASTICS) Ltd 8 Dec 1972 [13 Nov 1971] 52794/71 Heading E1W Wall cladding comprises strips, e.g. 14 of, e.g. a plastics material which are shaped to enable a lower strip to support an upper strip 1. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 an upwardly directed flange portion 18 spaced from the main body part can support a downwardlydirected hook portion 19, the strips being fastened to the wall via battens 21 and clips 30, or fasteners which pass through slots in the strips (see Fig. 16). Each strip may be of the form shown in Fig. 1, or have a generally planar form (Fig. 2, not shown), or a stepped form (Fig. 3, not shown). Horizontally adjacent strips may be lapped by removing part of the edge formations (Fig. 16), or may be sealed by a backing panel (65), Fig. 15 (not shown) in a butt joint. Various edge sealing strips, formed with interlocking front and back portions, are described and illustrated in Figs. 4-14 (not shown).
