Abstract
1415459 Rotary positive-displacement fluid-machines MITSUBISHI KINZOKU KK 11 May 1973 [11 May 1972 19 May 1972 23 Oct 1972 #2 10 March 1973] 22524/73 Heading F1F [Also in Division G3] The output shaft 2 of a rotary hydraulic servomotor is connected to a rotor forming within a housing 1 a number of oil chambers 11, 12, 13, 14 which may be connected by passages, such as 27, 27R and 29 with passages, such as 23, 9b and 9, in an input shaft 4, so that rotation of the shaft connects some of the chambers with a fluid supply line 24 and the other chambers with a drain line 24 whereby the rotor is turned until its original relationship with the shaft is restored. The chambers may be formed by radial vanes 15, 16, 17 urged outwardly by springs and more than three vanes may be provided they may also co-operate with a chamber of elliptical crosssection. In a modification, the vanes are urged outwardly by fluid pressure and the communication between the input shaft and the chambers includes passages in an end-wall of the housing. The chamber containing the rotor 201, may also have the shape illustrated in Fig. 6.
