Abstract

1414334 Synthetic resin composition particles WEDCO Inc 14 Nov 1972 [15 Nov 1971] 52637/72 Heading C3P Particles comprising a thermoplastic polyolefin resin and up to 8% of a particulate inorganic pigment having a higher melting point than the resin and being present inside the particles adjacent to the surfaces thereof, may be prepared by agitating a mixture of the polyolefin resin particles and the pigment particles under conditions such that the resin particles are softened without agglomeration in the absence of heating other than that due to frictional forces. The resin may be polyethylene or polypropylene. The products may be used for injection and rotational moulding. In an example pulverized low density polyethylene is blended with titanium dioxide.
