Abstract
1413459 Benzylpyrimidines NORDMARKWERKE GmbH 26 July 1974 [16 Aug 1973] 33067/74 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1-3 = H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy) are prepared by reacting the corresponding α- cyano-#-phenylpropionic acid with R 4 R 5 NCHO (R 4 = C 1-4 alkyl, Ph; R 5 = C 1-4 alkyl or R 4+5 = C 4-7 alkylene) and a carbonic, phosphoric or sulphurous acid halide, and condensing the product with guanidine or guanidine carbonate.
