Abstract

1412609 Incinerator grate VON ROLL AG 22 Dec 1972 [22 Dec 1971] 59542/72 Heading F4B A combustion grate comprises parallel beams arranged side by side, and grate members arranged in rows on the beams, interengaging members in the beams and the lower side of the grate members locating the grate members which have fuel supporting plates on their upper sides. Alternate fixed and reciprocating inclined beams 2, 2<SP>1</SP> have upstanding angle members 4, Fig. 4, engaging bars 3 extending between the downwardly directed wings of the grate members 1. The fuel supporting surface is stepped, air outlets 8 being formed between the upper part 7 and the lower part 6, which overlaps the adjacent grate member on the same beam. Side wings SW1 project above the fuel bearing surface to prevent material falling between the grate members. The grate members supported on the fixed and movable beams are identical. The grate is particularly designed for incinerators.
