Abstract
1412194 Fluid pressure switches R I LABORATORIES Ltd R E W IGGLEDEN and S MASON 8 Jan 1974 [11 Jan 1973] 1614/73 Heading H1N In a fluid pressure operated switch comprising a piston 16, Fig. 1, moving in a cylinder 1, the piston carries a knife blade 11 of non-conductive material which is operable to sever a wire or foil conductor 12. The piston 16 may have a flexible lip 13 engageable with a ridge 14 in the cylinder wall whereby the movement of the piston 16 is restrained and then suddenly released for positive actuation. The lip 13 may be supported by an annular spring. A leakage bore 18 and bleed valve 18 may be provided in the piston 16.
