Abstract

1498828 Thermal switches BEHR-THOMSON DEHNSTOFFREGLER GmbH 25 March 1975 [29 March 1974 20 Sept 1974] 12476/75 Heading H1N The electrical switch described in Specification 1,246,339 is modified in that the return spring (11) is omitted, the piston 10 of the temperature responsive actuator 8 being returned when the temperature falls by the spring 7 acting on the switch lever 6. The expandable material of the actuator 8 may be a solid, liquid, or gas, e.g. wax or rubber, and in one embodiment is contained in a recess at the bottom of the casing 1 and is covered by a rubber diaphragm (39) (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown) held in position by a guide (38) for the piston.
