Abstract

1408692 Cord clamps SILVERFLEX INTERNATIONAAL NV 7 May 1973 21677/73 Heading E2B A cord brake or grip comprises a movable clamping member of circular profile in an internal tapered part of a housing, the member being larger in diameter than the smaller taper and breadth, and smaller in diameter than the larger taper end breadth, the clamping member being retained in the housing by a stop member. Fig. 1 shows a housing having a part 1 with walls 2, 3 .providing the taper, the cord 12 being supported by the wall 3. The clamping member 9 is a disc, and the part 1 is secured by pins 6, 7, 8 to a cover part, the pin 8 providing the stop member. The housing may contain a plurality of parallelly disposed tapered sections each having a disc clamping member. Fig. 4 shows a cone frustum 14 with a clamping member 15 in the form of a sphere again retained by a stop member 16. The brake or grip is used in roller curtains or venetian blinds.
