Abstract

1407374 Cartons D WOESTE 29 May 1973 [24 Jan 1973] 25427/73 Heading B8P A tubular cardboard carton having each wall of double thickness has recesses 9 in one wall so that when lugs 7 are inserted through slits 8 to maintain the carton in its erected form each lug 7 lies in one of the recesses 9 and does not obstruct the interior of the carton. Closure flaps 3, 5 are provided on the ends of some of the walls and a lug 4 on a closure flap 3 lies in a recess 9 in one of the walls. A tab 20 in one of the walls is pressed into an aperture 19 in the lug 4 to retain the closure flaps. The carton may alternatively be made of strong paper, carton, or corrugated cardboard.
