Abstract

1406168 Vibratory compactor KOEHRING CO 18 April 1973 [10 Jan 1973] 18731/73 Heading E1G [Also in Division F2] The 'base plate 10 of a vibratory compactor has two parallel, spaced, rotary eccentric shafts 31 each being rotatable in the opposite direction to the other by a separate hydraulic motor 35, 44 whereby, by using one shaft or the other, the plate may be caused to advance in one direction or the other. The eccentric shafts are mounted in a fluid filled housing 15. A motor and pump for the hydraulic fluid is mounted through the intermediary of shock absorbers 52 on brackets 18. The pump includes a three way valve for controlling either of motors 35, 44 or for allowing the machine to idle.
