1406030 Lithographic fix KODAK Ltd 7 Sept 1972 [10 Sept 1971] 42274/71 Heading G2M An aqueous lithographic fix composition for rendering silver images oleophilic contains (i) an acid, (ii) iodide ions, (iii) an organic cationic compound containing a lipophilic group, and either (iv) a heterocyclic compound having a nitro group bonded to an aromatic nucleus or (v) an organic cationic compound having an aromatic group but no nitro group; components (iii) and (v) are optionally the same when they are cetyl pyridinium chloride or bromide. The composition may also contain a water-miscible alcohol.
