Abstract

1401829 Rail vehicle bodies LINKEHOFMANN - BUSCH WAGGON - FAHRZEUG - MASCHINEN GmbH 4 Dec 1972 [4 Dec 1971] 55861/72 Heading B7L A rail vehicle bogie has a frame 1 supported by helical springs 2 on a carrier 4 below each axle box 3, the carrier being supported from the axle box by a pair of oppositely inclined links 6 provided with ball sockets 7, 8 which cooperate with a ball member 9 on an arm 10 extending from the axle box and a ball member 11 associated with a friction element 12 which bears on a slide surface 13, a bearing 5 extending from the carrier having an inclined surface which contacts a corresponding surface of member 11. A bearing 5 is embraced by a U-section channel in arm 10 and the free end 10b of the arm extends into a channel 12a in element 12. Projections 15 on the axle box or arm 10 prevent rotation of the links about the axes of the ball- and-socket bearings.
